I got the oppurtunity to visit Koottumadom Subrahmanya Swamy Temple, Kuruppampady, Rayamangalam, Perumbavoor, Kerala. It was a wonderful experience. The temple is situated in a village with full of fresh air and in a very calm and quiet atmosphere. The Deity is Bala Murugan, since the deity is child Yakshi Amma is also there to look after the child. It is learned that Shashti Vrutha is the very important vrutha people are observing to accomplish their will and prayers. Ladies are observing this Vrutha to get married and to get a good husband.

Ganesha and Mahavishnu is there as upa pradishta's. Opposite to Subrahmnyaswamy Temple Perakkattu Mahadeva temple also there. Every year Subhmanya will visit to see Sree Mahadeva.
