Mandi is beautiful part ( city) of Himachal Pradesh. It is also called Chhota Kashi, Devbhoomi. Mandi is a beautiful Town placed at the center of Himachal. Its ancient name was Mandav Nagar which is currently updated to Mandi. This is a big town and is the 2nd biggest town in Himachal Pradesh. It the district h.q. of Mandi district.
Hamirpur is further 84 kms from Mandi via best route. The main stations comes from Mandi to Hamirpur are Nerchowk, Jahu and Bhota. Distance between Mandi to Nerchowk is 14 kms (via N.H. 21). From Nerchowk to Jahu the distance is 34 kms (via S.H. 32). From Jahu to Bhota it is 22 kms (via S.H. 32) and from Bhota to Hamirpur it is 14 kms (via N.H.88). The bus stops are Jahu and Bhota for 15 min. to 20 minutes. By bus it is the journey of 3 hrs currently because Super Highway 32 from Jahu to Nerchowk is under construction yet. It may take up to 1 year to complete. There is no route by air but greater bus service even after 15 minutes.
